FIRST AID

Accidents or unwanted incidents can happen anywhere and anytime. This incident may be a small incident or a disaster involving large numbers of patients.

The first person who will provide help are those who are on the scene. They are working to provide this aid have varying levels of knowledge ranging from not having first aid knowledge and not trained to experienced & trained. There was a time of relief at the accident scene until the victim can get help by medical personnel in health facilities, so that the grace period is to be filled by the first person closest to the victims who have First Aid skills.

1. First Aid Goals
First aid principals were the first helpers arrived and closest to the victim,
who has the ability and trained in basic medical treatment.

Objectives First Aid:
a. Life saving Patients
b. Preventing Disability
c. Give comfort and support the healing process.
Who can help in an emergency? In general, everyone should help, but any help
would be a disaster or aggravate the situation of the victim or expand the list
of injuries that have occurred.

2. Principle First Aid Provisions
a. Maintain own safety, team members, patients and people around him.
Maintain safety of oneself is made compulsory by the Executors First Aid
prior to help sufferers. Whether we realize we will not be able to help when
our own injury, before reaching the patient or at the time was helping
patients, so that the safety of themselves and the team should be a priority.
Safety problems include the danger of those people around, unstable
buildings, fire, explosions, wild animals and other dangers.
b. Reaching Patients can
As helpers we must be able to reach the patient, whether in vehicles, amid the crowd, trapped in the building, if necessary using simple tools. In case of accident or disaster, the possibility of supporting actors have to move other people to be able to reach a more severe patients. But remember the safety (of) helpers are always number one. Do not attempt exceeded limits.

d. Request Assistance / Referral
First Aid perpetrator must take responsibility to help take over the handling of reference patients. Call an ambulance immediately and the nearest health facility.

e. Provides Relief With Quick and Condition Based Victim Right
Find a problem / disorder sufferers and provide First Aid to use as little equipment as possible. Patient problems can be obtained from the information obtained at the scene, witnesses and sufferers themselves, as well as to check and assess the patient.
